Having recently retired after ten years managing The Wine Experience, a popular wine-tasting and blending lab on Cannery Row, Monterey, California, I found myself drawn to a new and exciting venture! On a recent trip to Belgium, I stumbled upon a chocolate-making class that paired delicious, handcrafted chocolates with local Belgian beers. A new idea and fresh passion were born: Combining the art of chocolate-making with the delightful wine and beer flights offered at The Wine Experience. Exit retirement…enter Chocolate & Cheers! Chocolate Truffle Making Process
Our first step involves tempering the chocolate to perfection, followed by crafting the truffle shells. Next, we'll fill these delicate molds with smooth chocolate ganache. Once everything is set, we'll seal them with another layer of rich chocolate. You will be provided a box to take your chocolates home.
Wine Tasting
Throughout the chocolate-making adventure, enjoy sampling 4 Central Coast wines. Normally, this features 1 white and 3 reds. If you’d rather stick to whites, just mention it to your host!
Swap it out for some brew
Explore our selection of 4 unique craft beers, available as a delightful alternative to wine. Participants must be 21 and over to be served beer.
Children 12 and over
To join our activity, kids need to be 12+, with soft drinks available for purchase. All participants under 16 must have an adult present.
Class size
The maximum class size is 812 participants. Larger groups, inquire within. Group hours are flexible. The host site is at The Wine Experience. Classes may have to be rescheduled depending on The Wine Experience's own group bookings. It's rare, but it can happen.
The cost
Join us for a delightful experience at just $59 per guest, plus tax and gratuity. Wine tasting or beer tasting can be added at $20 per person, plus tax.
